In tribute to these caring souls, I'm going to offer a few tips on how they can reduce the fatigue they may experience while in the course of their work.
While bathing, use a shower bench or lawn chair to avoid getting tired while standing in the shower, and have a shower organizer hanging from the shower head to avoid reaching and straining yourself.
In clothing, be sure to wear low-heeled shoes, loose clothing and light colors in order not to strain yourself too much. A tired caregiver is an ineffective one, and can lead to an unfortunate experience for the both of you.
With
cooking and housework, make sure everything is in place before you begin. This will make things easier for your tasks to be done with lesser strain and effort.
These tips are not only great for caregivers, but for cancer patients as well.
